Every little bit did help

Posted by Nobody on 31 March 2017

The exciting times continue for our fantastic club this week as we found out that we had secured £5000 funding from the Tesco bags of help initative.

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help funding initiative, which sees grants of up to £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to thousands of  local community projects every year.

Kevin Doyley, Chairman of Pennington FC, said:
This is a landmark moment in the history of our long established community club that serves as just one of the key steps in our endeavours to improve the club experience and environment on behalf of all our members and visitors. The whole of the committee who are all volunteers have been integral to us getting this far and will continue to be committed to serving the best interests of our members. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have shown their support during the voting period.
